What Is Constellation?

Constellation of Junior Stars, State of New York

To a select number of girls across New York State from Manhattan to Buffalo, Constellation is the place where they met life-long friends and helped their community.

The Constellation of Junior Stars, State of New York is a Not-For-Profit Masonic Affiliated Youth Organization for young women between the ages of 10 and 21. In Constellation young women learn many skills essential to life. They learn how to communicate effectively with different people, how to work to deadlines, how to public speak. They also learn poise, grace, dignity, organization and many other skills that are often forgotten but very helpful in today's society.

Constellation helps foster an attitude of caring towards those less fortunate and encourages young women to do what they can for their communities. The profits individual Constellations make through their various fundraisers are put towards charitable organizations of their choice. In just over 50 years, many national and international organizations have benefitted from the generosity of Constellation members, such as: the World Wildlife Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, National Parkinson Foundation, the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program along with many other charities.

As well as all of these wonderful things Constellation girls learn, they form friendships, which, for many are life-long. The friends that constellation members make from travel and our state, district and local meetings are so much more than friends, they are sisters. Not only do they meet other young women in Constellation, but they also make lifetime friends with other young women in The Organization of Triangles and The International Order of Rainbow for Girls and young men in the New York Jurisdiction of DeMolay International.
